There are many wonderful walks in the Knotts Mill area for novice and experienced ramblers alike, for example the walk to Aira Force Waterfall or even further to Gowbarrow Fell, 1759ft. Many describe Ullswater as the most beautiful and dramatic of the Lakes. Sail, canoe, or take the Paddle 'Steamer' on Ullswater Lake. The Lake is 7.5 miles long, 0.75 miles wide and 205ft deep.   Visit the pleasant market towns of Keswick and Penrith or one of the many visitor attractions found in the area.
