Ullswater Steamers

Start your walk in the Lake District with a cruise down our beautiful lake so you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery. A one way journey down the length of the Lake takes about an hour.

 

RHEGED

Rheged is Europe's largest grass covered building, with a giant cinema screen bigger than six double decker buses. Here there are various specialist shops, art galleries, restaurant, cafes, children's play area and regular special events.

 

Hill Top, home of Beatrix Potter
Owned by Beatrix Potter for 38 years, where she wrote many of her children's stories.

 

Dove Cottage, home of William Wordsworth
Wordsworth moved here in the winter of 1799 and this was where he wrote his greatest works.

Park Foot Trekking

Park Foot is a pony trekking centre with rides for people of all abilities. All rides are on the centre's own land.

Dalemain Historic House and Gardens
A medieval, Tudor and early Georgian house that has been home to the same family since 1679.
